Nobody will notice it on a galloping horse!! (one of my FAVORITE Southern colloquialisms!)


What is wrong with this picture?? There is something on my Spring fireplace that just doesn't belong...


What is the one thing you notice in this picture that is out of place? (Then I will tell you what I was TRYING to take a picture of):




I cheated and kind-of covered it up with the watermark...did that help you find it??


Yes, it is the battery charger for the drill. Don't ask me why it is sitting on my fireplace mantle. I was using it in Emily's room to hang her curtains when it died. The reason I did not move it to take this picture is:

1.) The battery was dying in the camera, so I only had a few seconds before the hay was in the barn, and

2.) I thought I could crop it out.


I am featuring the little arrangement on the right of the hearth anyway, so..... I  really wanted to take a picture of this:





You can tell by my whole fireplace that I love green glass...vases, bottles, demijohns...all things glass. I also love book pages. So, to create this little vignette, I added some faux greenery to one of my bubble vases, placed eggs in a glass vase in a nest of shredded book pages, and made a book page pillar from a tutorial I found created by Simply Kelly B.  It looks crooked as it sits on the bricks...I noticed that, too...Arrgh!

The other thing you may have noticed is that I let my batteries die on everything I use. I am organized like that! Oh, well. I love all of my little projects, so I put up with myself.
